The practice has started a Patient Participation Group (PPG), known as “Friends of Lightwater”.

The overall aim of our group is to develop a positive and constructive relationship between patients, the practice and the community it serves, ensuring the practice remains responsive to all its patient’s needs.

Our Aims:

1. Create and improve two-way communication between patients, the practice and the community it serves.

2. To bring a sense of partnership between the practice and patients.

3. Provide an avenue for patient’s input in the way facilities and services are planned and executed.

4. To provide a forum to voice community needs, positive suggestions and interests.

5. Collect patient opinions and experiences to help the practice to evaluate its services.

6. To help disseminate within the practice community and/or wider community information about the practice.

7. Increase health awareness and promotion.

 
Our Patient Participation Group Membership

No training is required to become a member of our PPG - the most important thing is that you are keen and focused on taking positive action to help the practice and the local patient population.

Our PPG group currently meets bimonthly.  If you would like to join the group and are a registered patient of Lightwater Surgery, then please contact the surgery.  There may come a time in the future when we will need to limit numbers due to practical constraints, but this is not a problem at the moment and we would welcome new members.

We shall hopefully be producing a newsletter after the meeting that we can email to you if desired.
